NNPC/SEPLAT JV Youth Entrepreneurship Programme 2026 (Facilitated by Etinpower Limited)

Etinpower Limited is proud to partner with the NNPC/Seplat Joint Venture to facilitate the training of 100 young participants in renewable energy skills, with a focus on the design, installation, and maintenance of solar and mini-grid systems.

The three-week intensive programme provides comprehensive solar energy training, covering both theoretical knowledge and practical installation skills. The training progresses from the basics of solar energy to more advanced technical and field-based applications.

Etinpower is responsible for coordinating the logistics of the programme, providing training materials, and supplying solar equipment for classroom demonstrations and practical projects. Etinpower’s team of experienced professionals is also delivering the technical training, equipping the enthusiastic trainees with knowledge and skills in solar sizing, load auditing, solar system components, simulation software, installation techniques, troubleshooting, and safety practices.

Representatives of Seplat delivered keynote sessions on Nigeria’s ongoing energy transition and the growing shift towards cleaner and renewable energy sources. They highlighted the country’s increasing energy demand, the shortage of skilled field professionals in the renewable energy sector, and the importance of programmes like this in building the workforce needed to support the industry. Notes on HSE and it’s importance on field were also emphasized.

Seplat further emphasized the vast opportunities currently available in the solar industry. As an example, Etinpower’s work in developing mini-grids for unserved and underserved communities was highlighted. Through these mini-grids, Etinpower provides electricity to households, businesses, and productive equipment, helping to unlock the economic potential and bankability of rural communities.

Etinpower believes that by joining forces with forward-looking partners to support programmes of this nature, it is not only adding value to the lives of the participants, but also contributing meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s energy sector. This is particularly important in advancing access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 7.
